| recent projects Perfect Patio Delivering what another designer has imagined is not always easy …especially once work has started and some serious challenges have arisen. Understandably the client was nervous to start with, so gaining their trust was the first step in the challenging project. In addition, their budget had already been blown so there were limited resources to rectify the situation. The whole project needed a redesign to eliminate the bad points, enhance the good points and incorporate some new ideas. Keeping the cost to the client at a reasonable level meant retaining what we could of the original job. Some of the key elements were recreating the steps, lifting the paving and installing the correct drainage and adjusting the wall to incorporate new pavers and plastering. Add to that a new pergola, planting and fencing and the results more than rectified a potential disaster. |
